ParkoMobil Returned from Doha: Notes from the Field at Web Summit Qatar 2026

We completed our participation in Web Summit Qatar 2026, held in Doha in February 2026. Taking part in the BETA Stage area, this gathering, for us, was a field study in which we produced clear outputs beyond the classic “trade fair participation” line, in order to read the market on site and grow ParkoMobil with the right contacts.

What was this year’s agenda?

In the talks and behind-the-scenes conversations, three topics stood out the most:

AI coming down into real life: There was AI in the presentations, but the main issue was “in which process, what it speeds up.”

Simplifying the user experience: The citizen finding parking, paying, exiting. All of it, if possible, one flow, one screen.

Measurability in city operations: Decisions being made not “by feeling,” but with data. Occupancy, circulation, violation, revenue, satisfaction.

All of these headings overlap one-to-one with the problem areas ParkoMobil already places at its center.

What did we tell as ParkoMobil?

In the meetings in Doha, we explained that ParkoMobil solves the same question for cities and businesses from different angles:
How do we make parking management visible, manageable, and improvable?

Especially these topics received strong interest:

  • monitoring occupancy and circulation
  • managing field operations with less friction
  • simplifying payment flows
  • reporting and performance tracking for decision-makers

Our most valuable output: the right people, the right problems, the right time

The real value of such events is not handing out brochures, but encountering the right questions. The contacts we made in Doha resulted in new collaborations, potential customers, and feedback that clarified the needs in the region. It was a week in which we added not a “good idea” to ParkoMobil’s roadmap, but directly “what is wanted in the field.”

From our founder Rasim Serim

“Last year, I had been in Lisbon as a visitor. This year, being in Doha at the BETA Stage was a different experience for us. We returned from the intense summit with new connections, potential customers, and a refreshed motivation.”

What’s next?

Now our focus is clear: turning the meetings that started in Doha into pilots, and turning the pilots into scalable works. While adapting ParkoMobil to different city needs, we will remain loyal to a single goal: making parking easier to manage.
